Post 5702 Visits Scout Troop
On Wednesday, November 5, 2008, Commander Robert Talan and Adjutant Doug Neralich were guests of Scout Troop 134. The Scout meeting was held at High Mountain School in Franklin Lakes. During the hour long visit, Bob and Doug made a presentation to the Scouts concerning the history of the American Flag, the story behind the Star Spangled Banner, the Pledge of Allegiance, and flag etiquette. The Scouts seemed to enjoy the visit, asked many pertinent and interesting questions, and were very interested in some of the memorabilia that Bob and Doug brought to the meeting.
Commander Talan demonstrates the finer points of an Army helmet as Scouts and parents look on.

While he looks great, one of the Scouts discovers how heavy and uncomfortable a helmet can be.

If anyone would like to donate to our 2007/2008 projects it would be very helpful. This year we are raising money for the Fisher House Foundation at Walter Reed Hospital and for The Wounded Warrior Project.
