Fellow Veteran,

The Veterans of Foreign Wars and other nationally recognized veteran organizations have always used their large membership numbers to champion veterans rights and benefits.

We have successfully served the veterans of past wars, and now have an obligation to the newest war veterans returning home from combat operations. The new veterans may be less numerous, but are no less deserving than those we currently represent.

The men and women who served in WWII, Korea, Vietnam and other theaters of combat are beginning to pass on. The large numbers, which have proven to be our greatest tool in fighting for veterans rights, are starting to dwindle.

There are numerous eligible veterans in the local area, who have not joined the VFW. Without new members, the scope strength of the national organization will decrease. A strong membership is necessary to influence the politicians. They are the public servants who determine how legislation will be written, what bills will be passed and ultimately our future well being.

Take time to speak with our membership chairperson. If you are eligible, we need you! Remember, our success depends on each veteran to play his or her part in this important local and national organization.
