Donations for the Troops
February 26, 2006
Our membership would like to thank the management and staff of the Franklin Lakes Stop & Shop for supporting us in our efforts to gather supplies to support troops stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan. While the afternoon of February 26, 2006 was very cold and windy, the cooperation of the Stop & Shop staff, and the warmth and generosity of your patrons made our efforts worthwhile and memorable.
On behalf of the members of Franklin Lakes VFW Post 5702, we also extend our thanks to the many patrons who donated item to the cause. With the items that were generously donated, we were able to fill over thirty boxes with supplies. We know that those packages will be well received and appreciated by our troops.
We would also like to thank the Oakland Staples Store for their donations to this drive.
